Today we read the story of "The Gingerbread Man", and then helped tell the story with our flannel board. Then, of course, we made our own gingerbread cookies. The birds loved playing with the flour, and rolling out the dough. We put our cookies in the oven, and went outside to play. When we returned to take our cookies out of the oven, they had run away! In all our combined years of teaching, this activity has never failed to impress the preschool crowd. The birds then had to follow a series of gingerbread man clues to find their runaway cookies. We are all still talking about how those cookies managed to escape!

Breakfast: whole grain pancakes with peanut butter, coconut milk eggnog

Lunch: pasta soup (garlic, onion, carrots, celery, anchovies, olive oil, salt, tomatoes, veggie broth, noodles, parmesan cheese), apples, water
